In his day, the artist Joan Miró was probably the island's most renowned resident, but many world-class contemporary artists also call Mallorca home. Experience Mallorca’s art world, first hand and see the island from a different perspective.
Since 2012 we have been introducing visitors to Mallorca’s contemporary artists during our Private Art Studio visits. Meet the artists who live and work here, experience their artistic processes, hear their stories. Tours are geared to the serious art lover and are personalized and designed to suit your interests.
Palma is often quoted as having more art galleries per square meter than any other Spanish city. While we can’t state this as fact, it is true that there are many. Contemporary art is a fascinating world. Would you like to enjoy contemporary art but think you don’t understand it?

Island Wide Art Studio Visits
Many wonderful artists working in different media call Mallorca home.
Meet select artists on a Full-Day personalized studio tour to 2-3 studios. Guests will have time to meet and talk with the artist, view his or her work and ask questions. Visits are designed for the discriminating Art Collector and to accommodate 1-6 persons. Includes a stop for lunch. Side trips are possible.
Contemporary Art Gallery Tour Palma
During a 2-3 hour tour of Palma’s contemporary art galleries, our art curator will guide you in creating a bridge between yourself and the artist through participation and guided interaction. Through knowledge and sensitivity, you will approach the different artistic languages, opening yourself to other forms of communication and perception.

Made in Mallorca
Artisan Workshop Tour
Experience "Slow Design" in the form of sustainable clothing, shoes, home furnishings, and accessories. Talk with contemporary and traditional ceramicists or a weaver in one of Europe’s last ikat factories. Meet a luthier of unique handcrafted concert classical and flamenco guitars. Or a creator of glass dinnerware, luxury handbags, shoes, and accessories made by artisans who learned the trade from their parents and grandparents. Touch and, in some cases, taste, their products.
Island Wide Full-day Tour
Mallorca has gotten the attention of the international community. It’s booming with new talent producing an array of locally designed and handmade articles. An ideal tour to meet the island’s contemporary artisans and maybe find that once in a lifetime gift "Made in Mallorca". Great tour for those interested in the craft process. A visit to a winery, olive oil producer, or market can be added. The final itinerary is designed with the interests of the visitor in mind.
Made in Mallorca Palma
While in Palma, meet select artisans in their studios or small shops during a 4-hour personalized tour with plenty of time to browse. Guests will have time to meet and talk with the artisan, view his or her work and ask questions.
The tour is designed to accommodate 1-6 persons. Visits to additional sites in Palma can be added as well as a stop to enjoy local treats.

Joan Miró and Mallorca
Joan Miró, one of Spain’s most important 20th-century artists, lived in Mallorca from 1956 until his death in 1983. It is in Mallorca where the artist created his most important and representative work. Your visit to the Miró Mallorca Fundació with a knowledgeable art expert who actually knew Miró, will delight and inspire you.
Visit Taller Sert, Miró’s dream workshop of minimalist design and spacious interiors, and Son Boter, an 18th-century rural house whose walls feature original charcoal graffiti by the artist, and the Moneo building which houses the foundation’s immense art collection. Situated in a privileged location on a hill with views of the sea and surrounded by a sculpture garden, the Miró Mallorca Fundació is considered to be one of the world’s most important artistic contemporary sites.
The Joan Miró Tours
3 hour tour
Visit the Miró Mallorca Fundació with our art expert. The tour includes a visit to Miró’s two workshops, Taller Sert and Son Boter, and a visit to view the collection of work in the Moneo building and a guided tour of the sculpture garden.
Full day Miró tour
In addition to the tour of the Miró Mallorca Fundació, begin the day with a guided tour of Mironian Palma visiting the Cathedral, Es Baluard Contemporary Art Museum, the city’s open-air sculpture collection, and the gardens of Marivent Palace.
More Miró
In Soller view Constellations, one of Miró’s most important works. At Belmond La Residencia in Deià, view a collection of Miró’s original print work. Later, on the hotel’s terrace overlooking the village, enjoy a tasty cocktail inspired by Miró.
